Abstract:The human amniotic membrane (hAM) is the innermost placental membrane that protects and nourishes the developing fetus. While its use in diverse oral and maxillofacial approaches is abundant, utility in endodontics is quite new. Its utility appears appreciable. This literature overview aims to discuss its use in pulpotomy, revascularization, and endodontic surgery, to assess this treatment outcome, and if applicable, to demonstrate its value compared to others scaffold materiasl for successful regenerative endodontic procedure.
