Abstract:The process of saving the tooth after primary treatment some times may go through challenges, saving process may be done by non surgical treatment, surgical or both.
This lecture will discuss the indications, techniques, advantages, and limitations of microapical surgery, as well as the clinical outcomes and success rates. The lecture will also present some cases of microapical surgery management of root resorption, a condition where the tooth structure is gradually dissolved by the body’s cells. Microapical surgery can provide a new healing opportunity for teeth affected by root resorption and prevent tooth loss. The lecture will highlight the importance of microapical surgery as the last option to save teeth and preserve the natural dentition.
