Every dental practitioner’s optimal goal is to restore function and esthetics within a healthy periodontium. Clinicians often face hard challenges regarding decision-making in treating massively compromised teeth.
Reviewing the literature reveals that orthodontic extrusion, Intentional replantation, and auto-transplantation could be valid options whenever the involved teeth are beyond treatment by conventional means.
Also, the obturation of oozing canals provides another challenge, which may require multiple appointments, however, the recent suggestion of using MTA as a permanent obturating material has proven to help overcome such a problem.
Lastly, adopting revascularization procedures as a treatment in nonvital teeth with open apices should not be excluded as a valid option.
The review of the current literature supports the reasonable follow-up success of the five cases included in the presentation.
