The introduction of bioceramics in Endodontics dates since the late 1990s. Before this era, filling of root canals was dominated by different technique of compaction of cold or warm gutta-percha. Few years ago, few leaders in the field started using a single cone technique based on the master cone of gutta percha and bioceramic sealers. Nowadays, this approach stepped in another evolution, taking advantage of both the biological properties of bioceramics and the hydraulic pressure used during the compaction of the new generation of gutta-percha. During this lecture we will discuss the principals and the step-by-step technical procedure.
